30 Hour Famine
In April 2008, the Christ Tabernacle Youth Group took part in 30 Hour Famine, a national program that highlights the issues of hunger and poverty in our society. The group did a series of drive-by prayers, dropping off notes at people’s houses, then took part in a 30 hour fast, during which they stood at street corners and intersections holding signs asking for food. Finally, they broke fast by eating food served in garbage bags.
