The annual CT Talent Show was another great success! Hosted by Willow Sanders, we had songs, drama, dancing and a terrific dessert spread catered by Tina Felly. Check out the slideshow below.

In just a few short weeks, the Christ Tabernacle Youth Group will head to Washington State to attend the Creation West Festival at The Gorge. You can help send them by attending the Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser, this Thursday night, just down the road from the church. The Youth Group will be cooking and serving delicious Spaghetti with meat sauce or pesto, as well as salad, warm French garlic bread as well as drinks and dessert!

Admission is only $8 for adults, $5 for kids under 12, and under 3 years old are free! You are invited to join all your church family and friends at a fun evening of food and fellowship! Invite your friends to this great event, and let’s raise money for the Youth Group and eat some delicious food in the process.

As part of the movement for unity and seeking God in our area of California, Santa Rosa and several surrounding cities have begun a 40 Day Prayer and Fast. Starting Friday, the churches of Santa Rosa will begin 10 days of prayer and fasting. There will be nightly gatherings at City Life Fellowship, as well as a final gathering Sunday evening, May 31st, at Santa Rosa Alliance church.

Christ Tabernacle is committed to praying and fasting for our county and its churches and people, asking God for a fresh new outpouring of His Holy Spirit on our lives. As the city of Sonoma concludes their 10 days, Santa Rosa will pick up the baton and begin earnestly seeking the Lord. We encourage every member of Christ Tabernacle to set aside time, be it 1 day or all 10, to join the county churches in fasting and prayer as we intercede before God about our City. We believe there are greater things to come!

Pastors from the locals churches have drawn up prayer points and scriptures for meditation on each day of this fast. The prayer points for this time are based on the Lord’s prayer. You can access the daily prayer points by clicking below:

The 2009 Annual Christ Tabernacle Snow Trip was a huge success and tons of fun! Besides sledding and snowball fights, there was a huge spread with tri-tip and chocolate cake (and much more). As we enter into 2009, we remember that, no matter what the state of the world, the economy, or our personal lives, God is able to make sudden, dramatic and lasting changes in our lives. As you make your way through this year, remember to place your hope and your trust in God. He’ll accomplish more than you ever thought possible!

2008 CityKids in Santa Rosa was a huge success. Christ Tabernacle would like to thank everyone who donated their time, money and resources to this great event. We sang songs, passed out bags of goodies, even made snow-cones for the kids! What a privilege it is to share the love of Jesus with our City as we minister to their needs.

Our speaker for HeartSpa 2008 is Vicki Smith, who pastors with her husband Craig in Sacramento. You may remember Vicki from our Women’s Retreat in 2006, where she shared her personal story of struggle and triumph over abuse. The retreat resulted in significant victories in the healing that took place in the hearts of a  number of women who attended; women who had long struggled with their own difficult histories. We anticipate another Spirit-filled weekend under her ministry.
