Music

Music is an essential part of Christ Tabernacle’s services. We love singing and playing songs, and draw our music from a wide variety of sources, all with the intention of glorifying God and uplifting the congregation.ensemble.jpg

Christ Tabernacle has a full-time worship team which leads the congregation in singing, as well as a Choral Ensemble that performs special numbers and introduces new music.

aarondrum.jpgOur musical selection is quite diverse, ranging from Modern Contemporary Christian and funky Southern Gospel to classic traditional hymns and sweet ballads. Whatever the song, our focus is always to lead the congregation to enter into God’s presence physically, emotionally and spiritually, and to offer praise and worship to the Lord.

Here’s a sampling of what we’ve sung in recent weeks:

Glorious by Martha Munizzi – This up-tempo gospel number really swings and has a punchy, rhythmic accompaniment. It encourages those listening to enter into the presence of the Lord “dancing, singing, lifting & raising,” and concludes with the refrain, “I was created to make His praise glorious!”

trio.jpgLamb of God by Twila Paris – We sang this absolutely stunning modern hymn during a recent communion. The words speak a clever interplay between God’s precious Lamb (Jesus Christ) and our desire to be led by the Good Shepherd; In essence, to become a lamb of God.

Best of My Praise by Don Christiensen – Written by a dear friend of Christ Tabernacle, this jazzy tune regularly opens our services, reminding us to set our hearts on “giving You glory, giving You honor, giving You the best of my praise!”

marysinging.jpgMade Me Glad by Hillsong – This brand new mid-tempo praise & worship psalm starts in a relaxed verse and builds to a wonderful crescendo in the chorus, telling the Lord, “You are my shield, my strength, my fortress, deliverer,” and “a very present help in time of need.” One of our favorites.

We hope you’ll join us for one of our worship services, as we praise and honor the Lord through music and singing!.
